District Attorney Hoovler Attends Police Benevolent Association Summit

Meeting with Local PBA Representatives Covered Issues Effecting Public Safety

Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler attended a Police Benevolent Association (“PBA”) summit with local PBA representatives on March 14, 2024.  During the meeting, several important topics were discussed, including labor issues, criminal justice issues and methods to improve public safety.  DA Hoovler has long supported both local labor as well as law enforcement and the summit was an important opportunity to reiterate his commitment to local PBAs.  The meeting comes after DA Hoovler’s recent efforts to support local law enforcement:

• DA Hoovler Co-Sponsors Law Enforcement Training Conference in Collaboration with Stop DWI

• District Attorney Hoovler to Provide Funds to Orange County Police Academy

• District Attorney Hoovler Urges Orange County Municipalities to Raise Police Pay

“Law enforcement is critical to the safety and security of our community,” said District Attorney Hoovler. “It is important that police officers are paid more considering their dangerous and often thankless work.  I know how vital the training of police officers is to the fair and equal enforcement of our laws.  I have always and will continue to support the rank-and-filepolice who patrol our streets.  I urge the citizens of our County to join in that support of those men and women who wear the uniform every day.”
