Event Supports D.A.R.E. in Local Schools
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024 members of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, including attorneys and investigators participated in an annual event at Montgomery Elementary School pitting fifth graders against District Attorney staff and members of the Village of Montgomery Police Department in a game of kickball. The fun event supports and highlights the importance of D.A.R.E. (drug abuse resistance education) in our schools.
“D.A.R.E. is so important to help steer our children away from the dangers of drug use and abuse,” said District Attorney Hoovler. “This annual event gives us an opportunity not only to support such an important part of school curriculum, but to see and be seen by impressionable youngsters. I thank our law enforcement partners for participating and congratulate the students for their successes in the classroom and on the ballfield.”
