The Orange County Drug Task Force Arrests Three Defendants For
Possessing Heroin, Cocaine, Oxycodone and Marijuana.

Orange County, NY -Mark Thompson, 42, was charged in the City of Middletown Court with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Dain Edwin Jackson, 41, was charged in the Town of Wallkill Justice Court, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree. Jackson’s son, Jordan Devon Jackson, 22, was also charged in the Town of Wallkill Justice Court with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

On February 13, 2017, the Orange County Drug Task Force executed search warrants at two locations simultaneously. The first location was 6 Frederick Street, in the Town of Wallkill. The Task Force was assisted at that location by the Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group, and the Town of Wallkill Police Department. Police officers seized from that residence 106 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of heroin, 152 grams of marijuana and a set of brass knuckles.

Dain Edwin Jackson, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, a class AII Felony, Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class A Misdemeanor. As a result of his previous felony convictions, Dain Jackson faces a maximum sentence of 14 years in state prison on the charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree. Dain Jackson was remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.

Jordan Devon Jackson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, and faces up to nine years in prison if convicted on that charge. Jordan Jackson was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $30,000 Cash / $60,000 Bond.

The second location was 86 Sprague Avenue, in the City of Middletown. The Orange County Drug Task Force was assisted at that location by the Orange County Sheriff’s Special Operations Group, Orange County Sheriff’s Deputies, and the City of Middletown Police Department, when they executed the second search warrant. Seized from the residence were 71 bags of heroin, weighing approximately 2.13 grams, 11 oxycodone pills and 2.2 grams of marijuana.

Mark Thompson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, Class A Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.

Thompson was remanded to the Orange County Jail on $25,000 Cash/$50,000 Bond. Thompson also faces up to 9 years in state prison if convicted of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
