Orange County, N.Y. District Attorney David M. Hoovler’s office developed this public service announcement to help raise awareness among parents about the risks their children face from prescription drugs and heroin.

FACT: In 2014, three times more Orange County residents died of heroin or pain medication overdose per capita than any other county in New York State, according to the New York State Comptroller’s Office Report.

If your child is using drugs or alcohol, you are not in this alone. There are resources in your community that can help.
